What is GraviQUICK?

GraviQUICK is a rapid pregnancy test. From the first day you miss your menstruation it can tell you with a security of 99.5% whether you are actually pregnant or not. If you are pregnant GraviQUICK measures the hormone hCG (human Choriongonadotropin) in the urine.

The testing technique

The time when the sperm fuses with the ovocyte in the fallopian tube is called conception. As soon as the inseminated ovocyte has settled in the uterus it is a pregnancy. The placenta starts producing the hormone hCG. Generally the hCG level of women betrays 0-10 mlu/ml (mili international units per millimetre). The boundary level for pregnant women is 10 mlu/ml. With GraviQUICK you can determine a possible pregnancy even from day one of your “missing” menstruation: already at an amount of 25 mlu/ml of hCG in the urine GraviQUICK recognizes a pregnancy. This proof is based on an antigen-antibody-reaction. The testing compound (testing card) contains antibodies against hCG which react as an antigen when they get in contact with hCG.
